Hong Kong

Hong Kong holds, apparently, the most Rolls Royce’s per capita. However, that was not the reason why we decided to pay a visit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.

Hong Kong

We flew with British Airways from Zurich via London to Hong Kong. The flight London – Hong Kong departed in the early evening and we decided we catch an early (7am early) flight to Heathrow so we could spend our day in big London before we went on with our journey to huge Hong Kong. After quite some delay and 10-is hours of flying in the really calm A380 we finally arrived. Unfortunately the weather forecast for the week was all but good and even worse the meteorologists were right. It was chilly and windy with scattered showers of rain (and don’t think you could go inside a café or restaurant to warm yourself up – air cons in Hong Kong apparently lack the Off switch). But we enjoyed our stay regardless of the weather. Hong Kong has a lot to see and really is an impressive city. It sure was not the last time we were there…

Strolling around the neighbourhood

Semester exams are over (for what feels like ages) and soon my final semester starts which means in about 15 weeks I’ll have to deliver my (by then hopefully finished) bachelor thesis. But another highlight comes first: 1 week in Hong Kong.

Before I’ll share some Hong Kong photos I can only show some pictures I’ve taken around my neighbourhood…

35 mm, 10 minutes, 4 images

It’s exam preparation time again and so I thought it would be a great idea to let myself get distracted by all kind of ordinary objects. So I decided to get a short lets call it creativity break and do something more creative than just looking at random objects.

All pictures have been taken with the Fuji X-Pro1 in combination with the Fujinon 35mm f/1.4 and edited in Lightroom.
